CONCEPT
Both Fashion and Architecture create space and volume out of flat two-dimensional materials. In recent years while architects adopts dressmaking techniques such as pleating, folding, and draping to create buildings, fashion designers experiment with structure, volume, geometry, and suspension to create engineered garments. The inspiration for this collection derived from such cross practices and explores geometrical shapes in buildings to create a retail ready collection for the brands discerning customers.
COLLECTION
The simple lines of the building are adopted to create asymmetrical hemlines and straight-cut bodice silhouettes. The structured sleeves and layering creates volume that projects an architectural feel. Softer shapes, with a feminine contemporary feel. Mood is clean and urban with a premium feel with colors that are bold and subdued. Mid to heavy weight cotton and crepe materials that has surface textures are used to give hand feel and net fabric to create layers. The designs are versatile and can be worn as formal wear, eveningwear or work wear depending on how you style them. The color options make them suitable for day and night both.
